- Make the Slurry: In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and cold water until smooth.1 tbsp cornstarch, 2 tbsp cold water

- Adjust the Texture: Whisk in the remaining ¼ cup Concord grape juice, a little at a time, until the drizzle reaches a smooth squeeze-bottle consistency.¼ cup Concord grape juice
- Finish with Vanilla: Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla paste.½ tbsp vanilla paste
Notes
- Squeeze Bottle Texture: This should be thicker than syrup but looser than jam. If it gets too thick after chilling, whisk in a splash of grape juice or warm water.
- Strain Well: Raspberry and blackberry seeds can clog a squeeze bottle, so press the sauce through a fine-mesh strainer before bottling.
- Concord Grape Juice: This gives the sauce that classic peanut butter and jelly flavor while the fresh berries make it taste more grown up.
- Corn Syrup: A small amount keeps the drizzle glossy and helps the texture stay smooth.
- Not for Canning: This is a refrigerator sauce, not a shelf-stable canning jelly.
- Storage: Store refrigerated in a squeeze bottle or airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Shake well before using.
- Serving Suggestions: Serve with Peanut Butter and Jelly Pancakes, Classic Buttermilk-Style Pancakes, Whole Wheat Pancakes, waffles, French toast, biscuits, ice cream, cheesecake, or Homemade Vanilla Whipped Cream.
