Information used to run the website

Our hosting and sign-in services process technical information needed to deliver pages, secure the website and authenticate visitors, such as network addresses, browser details and requests. The website uses OpenAI Sites and its hosting infrastructure. Sign-in uses ChatGPT; its own privacy terms also apply.

When you use account features, the website receives your sign-in name and email, uses a derived account identifier, and stores your display name, saved items, board names and related dates. Boards are associated with your account and are not public browsing pages.

Reviews, photos and messages

If you submit a recipe review, we store its rating, text, display name and any photos you provide. Reviews await moderation. Approved reviews and their display names and photos can be visible to other visitors. Please leave private contact details and sensitive information out of public submissions.

Private chef inquiry forms use your name, email, selected service, and the details you choose to provide so our team can respond. When online delivery is enabled, the message passes through our email delivery provider, Resend, to the Good Buddy Butter Club Google Workspace mailbox. The website keeps delivery references and protected request fingerprints temporarily to prevent duplicate submissions and abuse; records older than 30 days are removed during subsequent submission processing; it does not keep the inquiry text in its database. An error means delivery has not been confirmed. Other contact links open your own email app. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter.

Optional Google Analytics

When enabled for public visits and allowed by you, Google Analytics helps us understand visits to approved pages and interactions such as recipe printing and sharing, private-chef inquiry starts and successful submissions, Google review-link clicks, and selected Shop links. This can include page identifiers, browser and device information, approximate location and engagement information. Google processes technical information, including your network address, to provide its service.

The events sent by our website code exclude account and sign-in pages, free-text searches, names, email addresses, phone numbers, inquiry or review text, board names, and other form contents. Page URLs exclude arbitrary query values and fragments. To measure which outreach works, approved public search or social referrers are reduced to their website origin and standard utm_ campaign values are included only when they use a short, restricted character set; other referring pages and query values are discarded. Events otherwise use approved page titles and fixed page, recipe, service, placement, or sharing-method identifiers rather than personal or search-generated titles. We do not configure advertising personalization or Google signals in this integration.

Analytics cookies named _ga and _ga_… can be created after opt-in. We configure them for up to six months without extending that period on each visit. Your consent choice is stored separately in this browser for up to six months. If we cannot save or read your choice, optional analytics remains off.

We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals by keeping optional analytics off. Rejecting later stops subsequent website measurement and removes accessible Analytics cookies from this site; it does not automatically erase reports already processed by Google.

Outside links and affiliate purchases

Amazon and social links open services governed by their own privacy policies. Amazon affiliate links identify our Associates account so qualifying purchases may earn us a commission. Purchases and payment details are handled by Amazon, not by this website. Your website Analytics choice does not control another service after you follow a link.

Keeping and removing information

Saved account content and reviews remain in the website database until removed. You can remove saved items, boards and your reviews through the account features provided. For other access, correction or deletion requests, contact privacy@gbbutterclub.com. We may need to verify the account involved before acting.

Hosting, email and Analytics providers have their own retention settings and policies. Recovery backups may retain earlier copies after an item is removed from the working website. Contact us if your request also concerns those copies.
