Made in one skillet with a short list of pantry ingredients, this Pineapple Glazed Chicken turns canned pineapple and brown sugar into an easy family supper. The glaze reduces around the chicken and is especially good spooned over rice, noodles, or simple vegetables.

Pat the chicken dry, season it with salt and black pepper, and brown it in butter until lightly golden on both sides.

Add the pineapple chunks with their juice and stir the brown sugar into the liquid around the chicken.

Simmer gently until the chicken reaches 165°F, turning it once so it cooks evenly.
Remove the chicken if necessary, reduce the sauce until glossy and syrupy, return the chicken to coat, and finish with scallions.
