Stacked Campfire Crunch Bars made with chocolate-coated Golden Grahams cereal and miniature marshmallows on a vintage plate beside a glass of milk.

Campfire Crunch Bars

A campfire treat becomes a no-bake pan of chewy, chocolatey squares. Soft marshmallow pockets meet the snap of graham cereal in every piece.

Campfire Crunch Bars bring the flavors of s’mores indoors with crisp Golden Grahams, a glossy milk-chocolate coating, and plenty of soft miniature marshmallows. They come together in one saucepan and one bowl, then set at room temperature into easy-to-share squares for movie nights, potlucks, bake sales, or after-school snacks.

Granny’s Kitchen Notes

From Betty Lou Gardner

I butter the spoon first because otherwise the mixture sticks to absolutely everything. I give the coated cereal just a moment to cool before I fold in the marshmallows, and those little soft pockets are everybody’s favorite.

How to Make Campfire Crunch Bars

◆
Milk chocolate chips, light corn syrup, and butter melted together in a saucepan until smooth and gently bubbling.
01

Make the Chocolate Coating

Heat the corn syrup, butter, and milk chocolate chips until completely smooth and just beginning to boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla.

02

Coat the Cereal

Pour the warm chocolate coating over the Golden Grahams and fold gently but quickly until the cereal is evenly covered.

03

Add the Marshmallows

Let the strongest steam subside, then fold in the miniature marshmallows one cup at a time so they remain mostly soft and whole.

04

Press, Set, and Slice

Press the mixture lightly into a greased baking pan, allow it to set at room temperature, and cut it into 24 squares.
