Stir graham cracker crumbs and melted butter together, then press firmly into the bottom of the pan.

The condensed milk bubbles into the cracker crust as these bars bake, binding the layers into a gooey square. Coconut toasts around the edges, making the corners especially tempting.
These Magic Cookie Bars are rich, gooey, and layered with chocolate, coconut, crunchy nuts, and sweetened condensed milk baked over a buttery graham cracker crust! Easy to slice into little squares once completely cooled, they’re the kind of classic dessert bars that always seem to disappear quickly at bake sales, holidays, and family gatherings.

I always try to let these cool completely before cutting them, although that rarely lasts very long once people start hovering around the kitchen. The chewy corner pieces with the extra toasted coconut are still my favorite bites in the whole pan.

Stir graham cracker crumbs and melted butter together, then press firmly into the bottom of the pan.

Pour sweetened condensed milk over the crust, then layer on the chocolate chips, coconut, and nuts.

Gently press the toppings into the condensed milk and bake until the edges are bubbling and lightly browned.

Cool completely so the layers set, then chill briefly before slicing for the cleanest bars.
