Honeyed Brandy Rum Truffles

These no-bake truffles grow more mellow after a day or two in the refrigerator. A fresh dusting of powdered sugar before serving gives them a snowy finish.

These Honeyed Brandy Rum Truffles are soft, rich, and full of warm holiday flavor with sweet honey, dark rum, and brandy blended into smooth vanilla wafer crumbs! Finished with a snowy coating of powdered sugar, they’re the kind of old-fashioned no-bake candy that feels especially at home on Christmas trays and tucked into holiday tins.

Granny’s Kitchen Notes

From Betty Lou Gardner

I always think these taste better after sitting a couple days because the honey, rum, and brandy soften everything together beautifully. Sometimes I roll them in powdered sugar a second time right before setting them onto holiday trays because they look prettier that way beside all the Christmas cookies.

How to Make Honeyed Brandy Rum Truffles

◆

01

Crush the Wafers

Turn vanilla wafers into very fine crumbs for the smoothest truffle texture.

Vanilla wafer crumbs and walnuts mixed with honey, dark rum, and brandy in a large bowl to form the truffle dough.
02

Mix the Dough

Stir together wafer crumbs, honey, rum, brandy, and nuts until moist and evenly combined.

03

Roll into Balls

Shape the mixture into small truffles and coat generously in powdered sugar.

04

Chill Until Firm

05

Serve Cold or Slightly Cool

Excellent with coffee or holiday dessert trays.
